Our Short AAA Composite strives to provide regular and predictable U.S. dollar interest income from a diversified portfolio of AAA-rated fixed income securities. Under normal market conditions, duration is managed between 1.75 and 2.25 years with a targeted duration of 2 years. The minimum average credit quality of a portfolio is AAA and given the nature of this strategy, the Composite has two benchmarks: The Merrill Lynch 1-3 Treasury Index and a custom 2-Year duration U.S. Treasury benchmark representing a hypothetical blend of the return of the Citigroup 2-Year and 5-Year U.S. Treasury Indices.
