Network Administrator
[ + complete job description ]Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Network Administrator is to provide reliable, resilient, secure, high-performance information technology infrastructure. This individual will work extensively with the Sr. Network Engineer and Technical Support Specialists. This role is an intermediate position within the Infrastructure Team. This individual will be heavily involved with network projects, maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as providing end-user technical support via the Help Desk.
This individual will also interface with the Development Team to provide support, knowledge, and infrastructure solutions as needed.
Specific Responsibilities
- Assist Vice President and Sr. Network Engineer with network projects, maintenance, planning, and deployments.
- Assist end users with technical issues (Help Desk).
- Provide training as required.
- Assist Technical Support Specialists as needed.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Manage budgetary assignments.
- Manage assigned projects.
- Manage Help Desk daily operations.
- Maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Assist with compliance and associated policies.
Technical Skill Requirements:
Must possess a strong command of the following systems/technologies:
- Linux: installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- MS Windows Server: installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- MS Office
- Ethernet
- Wi-Fi
- TCP/IP (v4)
- Firewall
- IDS/IPS
- SMTP
- DNS
- Active Directory (incl. Group Policy)
- LDAP
- NTFS
- Data and Voice cabling, termination, cross-connects.

Preferred experience/knowledge:
- Scripting: Windows/VB, Perl, BASH
- SQL: Oracle/SQL Server/Access

- BA/BS degree
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective project management skills
- This position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week (minimum 8 hours a day) and is non-exempt for purposes of calculating overtime pay. Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Network Administrator reports directly to the Vice President - Network & Infrastructure Architecture.

Associate Quantitative Analyst
[ + complete job description ]Purpose:
To provide quantitative analysis to support the investment decision process, clients and internal information needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Quantitative systems management
- Maintain the Polypaths system which provides analytic information crucial to Dwight's investment process.
- Make sure portfolio holdings and analytic numbers are accurate on a daily basis. Anticipate problems, proactively avoid recurring issues. When questions arise, research the cause and provide a coherent response.
- Manage data used by the Barclays Point system for performance attribution and tracking error analysis. Reconcile trade listings, solve data problems and manage data uploads.
- Investigate and model problem bonds not covered by Point, Intex or Bloomberg.
- Assign and maintain proprietary/in-house data.
- Be the tech department point of contact on data issues.
- Portfolio Analysis
- Produce periodic policy/exposure reports from Polypaths for distribution to portfolio managers.
- Run optimization/what-if scenarios for trading strategies as requested.
- Provide analysis as requested by the trading desk.
- Market Analysis
- Produce daily performance numbers on daily valued funds and weekly trade rationale file.
- Assist senior analysts in their projects.
- Marketing Support
- Produce data and analysis for RFPs and client / prospect meetings on an ad hoc basis.
- Provide analysis for product development.
- Client support
- Support client portfolio managers in their response to client requests.
- Enhance the efficiency and decision making effectiveness of all investing areas by developing customized models and/or reports for Dwight portfolio managers and analysts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Skill Requirements:
Must be technically competent and able to work independently in the following systems:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- Internet
Must be able to use the following with training:
- Bloomberg
- Barclays POINT
- Polypaths
- SQL Developer
- Internal data warehouse systems
- Any other systems or programs that may be deemed necessary
